Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid at the hirify.global HQ in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Equity Incentive Plan

hirify.global develops intelligent orchestration software for physical security programs, helping organizations prevent threats and improve security intelligence.

What you will do

• Design and ship complete features across web and mobile applications and backend services.
• Architect scalable backend services, GraphQL and REST APIs, and data processing systems.
• Deliver services on AWS using infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and modern service delivery practices.
• Improve observability, performance, and reliability to meet customer service-level agreements.
• Support production systems through incident response, troubleshooting, and break-fix activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence architecture and development practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in senior roles.
• Strong experience with Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and query tuning.
• Experience building full-stack applications with microservice architectures and designing GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Strong TypeScript experience with web or mobile development; familiarity with React and React Native or willingness to learn them.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and cloud-native development.
• Strong system design skills, experience with distributed high-scale applications, and enthusiasm for AI-native software development practices.
