Director, Environmental, Health & Safety and Business Continuity - North America

What you will do

• Lead integrated environmental, health, and safety compliance, sustainability, and business continuity across the North American tire manufacturing portfolio.
• Develop and implement EHS systems, strategies, policies, audits, and performance metrics in alignment with the global EHS organization.
• Provide strategic direction on EHS and sustainability to Americas leadership and support Latin America and non-tire EHS leaders through a matrix structure.
• Coordinate business continuity activities across the Americas and serve as deputy to the Vice President, Global EHS and Business Continuity.
• Develop safety KPIs using data, analytics, and external benchmarks to improve processes and communicate performance.
• Lead initiatives to reduce injuries, environmental incidents, solvent use, landfill waste, energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water impacts, and chemical exposure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Science, or a related field.
• 15 or more years of manufacturing experience managing a global or regional EHS or sustainability program with proven results.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing environments and experience managing large, stressful projects across business functions.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership, including organized labor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing, analytical, systems-thinking, and global-thinking skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft systems and tools.

• Master's degree.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
