EHS Manager

Location: On-site in Westborough, Massachusetts, United States; up to 10% travel to other Cytiva or hirify.global sites, trainings, or workshops.

Annual salary: $100,000–$130,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead site-level Environmental, Health, Safety, Occupational Health, and Business Continuity Management programs.
• Act as the primary EHS contact for site leadership, regulators, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Translate enterprise EHS and BCM goals into local strategies, metrics, readiness activities, and continuous improvement plans.
• Manage regulatory compliance, permits, reporting, audits, inspections, and corrective action plans under OSHA, EPA, Massachusetts, and local requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard analyses, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Direct business continuity planning, business impact assessments, tabletop exercises, recovery testing, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, and incident command activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, life sciences, or another regulated environment.
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Knowledge of U.S. federal, Massachusetts state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, compliance audits, risk assessments, contractor management, and change management.
• Ability to work on-site in manufacturing, laboratory, facilities, construction, maintenance, and production-floor environments while wearing required personal protective equipment; ability to lift, move, or carry up to 50 lb.

Nice to have

• EHS certification such as CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.
• Experience in an ISO 14001-certified manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hirify.global Business System, Lean manufacturing, PDCA, Daily Management, Visual Management, or Process Solution Planning.
