Senior Manager, Software Engineering (AI)

Location: United States — remote, or Omaha, Nebraska — hybrid

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop software engineers with a focus on growth, performance, and ownership.
• Build and sustain high-performing engineering teams that deliver impactful, customer-focused software.
• Champion Agile practices, continuous delivery, quality, and innovation.
• Partner with Product, Design, QA, and other stakeholders to align goals and deliver outcomes.
• Improve and scale engineering processes for long-term sustainability and clarity.
• Use AI tools for code review, test generation, and team efficiency while applying critical judgment and owning final quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong technical foundation.
• 5+ years of experience managing software engineers.
• Experience with Agile principles and meaningful outcome-focused delivery.
• Demonstrated judgment in AI-assisted work, including directing tools, identifying failures, and editing output to a professional standard.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influencing skills.
