Senior Engineering Manager (Basketball)

Location: Remote throughout the United States, or from the Manhattan, New York office. Hiring is unavailable in Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.

Salary: $210,000–$235,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a cross-functional engineering team working across iOS, Android, and backend platforms.
• Coach engineers, set expectations, provide feedback, and create growth opportunities.
• Define delivery goals with Product and Design partners, manage trade-offs, and surface risks.
• Maintain high standards for engineering quality and system reliability in live, in-game workflows.
• Hire and onboard engineers while evaluating values alignment, technical fit, and AI fluency.
• Contribute to engineering culture and organizational effectiveness through cross-team initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Experience managing and growing engineering talent at different levels.
• Technical depth in at least one area of the stack and breadth to participate in architecture discussions.
• Strong product judgment and ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Design.
• Active development of AI fluency and a high standard for judgment and ownership.
