Forward Deployed Engineer (Palantir Foundry)

Location: US Remote; travel to secure customer sites and operations centers required, approximately 25–75% of the time.

Base salary: $165,000–$220,000 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with defense and security customers to define situational-awareness and force-protection solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry solutions, including data pipelines, ontology models, Compute Modules, and operator-facing applications.
• Integrate real-time intelligence into customer workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control systems.
• Own solutions end to end, from initial design through deployment, while making independent technical decisions.
• Debug infrastructure, networking, and application issues across cloud, hybrid, restricted, disconnected, and on-premises environments.
• Advise customer engineers and operators and bring their feedback into hirify.global product development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems in a team setting.
• Hands-on expertise with Palantir Foundry pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, and application development.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript or JavaScript, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Linux, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% to secure customer sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with classified, air-gapped, or disconnected environments.
• Background in defense, intelligence, or national security operations.
• Familiarity with Esri, ArcGIS, or command-and-control systems.
• Front-end experience building operator-facing applications.
