Software Engineer (AI/Risk Management)

Salary: $153,000–$270,000 USD per year, depending on location zone, skills, experience, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Own and operationalize third-party risk management and business continuity programs for Square Financial Services.
• Build and operate pipelines and integrations that aggregate, normalize, and connect risk, control, and asset data across hirify.global and SFS systems.
• Translate security and compliance standards into versioned, tested policy-as-code rules.
• Design agentic AI workflows combining LLM reasoning with deterministic, auditable decision layers.
• Automate evidence collection and continuous control monitoring for audit readiness.
• Partner with Security, Procurement, Resilience, and Engineering teams to turn manual governance processes into reliable products.

Requirements

• Experience with third-party risk management and business continuity.
• 4+ years of production software engineering experience in backend, platform, data, or software engineering.
• Multi-year ownership of production systems, including on-call, SLOs, and post-launch maintenance.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Kotlin, Java, or Go, with the ability to read unfamiliar codebases.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, integrations, REST APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, event-driven architectures, and multi-source data processing.
• Experience defining technical direction in ambiguous problem spaces and delivering solutions across team boundaries.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PCI DSS, SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST.
• Production-scale LLM or agentic systems experience.
