Evergreen Military Derivatives Software Platform Engineer

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible

hirify.global develops aerospace and defence systems, including mission-critical software and internal engineering platforms.

What you will do

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with automated code analysis, linting, and GUI testing.
• Develop software architecture, APIs, and internal tooling for a self-service PaaS.
• Create containerized and virtualized test environments with Docker, Podman, KVM, and QEMU.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code, Bash, and Python.
• Optimize virtual networks and DDS middleware for high-throughput, real-time distributed communications.
• Produce platform architecture documentation and developer self-service guides.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Experience with Linux systems administration, network configuration, Python or Bash scripting, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, team spirit, and the ability to work in complex international and multicultural environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with C++ build ecosystems, including CMake.
• Experience with the Qt framework and DDS implementations.
