Senior Counsel, Legal & Business Affairs - Ad Tech & Media Transactions

Location: New York, United States; in-office Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Annual base salary: $230,000–$260,000, plus equity.

What you will do

• Draft, review, structure, and negotiate publisher, content provider, DSP, SSP, advertiser, agency, data license, insertion order, vendor, and platform agreements.
• Support hirify.global’s advertising platform through master services agreements, data integration arrangements, and commercial vendor agreements.
• Advise on data privacy, data security, marketing regulations, martech, ad tech, digital media, retail media, OTT, and CTV matters.
• Partner with ad sales, ad partnerships, ad operations, content, finance, tax, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
• Develop scalable, risk-calibrated legal processes that enable fast deal execution without sacrificing legal rigor.
• Use AI-powered legal tools and large language models for contract review, drafting, analysis, and legal operations improvement.

Requirements

• Deep experience negotiating supply-side, demand-side, data licensing, and insertion order agreements across the digital advertising ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, IAB terms and conditions, advertising data, measurement licenses, privacy, and data security.
• Ability to provide pragmatic business advice, exercise sound judgment under ambiguity, and work independently in a fast-moving technology environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and operate effectively in a matrixed organization.
• At least five years of combined transactional legal experience in law firm and in-house settings, with experience in internet, technology, media, ad tech, or data companies.
• J.D. from a U.S.-accredited law school and active bar membership in New York or California.

Nice to have

• Experience with both B2B and B2C digital advertising ecosystems.
• Experience working with brands, advertising agencies, publishers, and content providers.
• Knowledge of intellectual property, consumer protection, cookie and beacon technologies, programmatic targeting, and audience data management.
• Experience using AI tools or identifying opportunities to integrate emerging technology into legal workflows.
