Associate Data Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Design and deliver scalable data solutions using the Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
• Collaborate with engineers through pairing, code reviews, and shared problem-solving.
• Support product teams with data, telemetry, operational analysis, and data-driven insights.
• Explore tools and approaches through proof-of-concept work covering performance, data modelling, and cost.
• Build reliable, well-tested, maintainable, and automated solutions using modern CI/CD tooling.
• Contribute to engineering standards and quality in an agile, cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Experience delivering data solutions end to end.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and reliable, well-tested data systems.
• Experience with Azure data technologies such as Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, or Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of Python or another object-oriented programming language, plus Azure Databricks and/or Apache Spark.
• Understanding of reporting tools, CI/CD workflows, Git, Agile delivery, and cloud and on-premises infrastructure considerations.
