Data Center Technician (f/m/d)

Location: Lenexa, United States; hybrid work in the Lenexa office or more as needed. The role includes local and domestic travel to colocation sites, rotational 24/7 shifts, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call duties.

What you will do

• Rack, stack, assemble, troubleshoot, and repair enterprise servers and network equipment.
• Install and document Ethernet and fiber cabling, power distribution, blanking plates, floor seals, and cold aisle containment.
• Track hardware assets, identify equipment within the RMA period, and coordinate replacements with provisioning teams.
• Support data center infrastructure, provisioning, network engineering, vendors, customers, and internal support teams through ticketing systems.
• Maintain safety, security, cleanliness, documentation, change management, and SLA-based ticket resolution.
• Travel to local and domestic colocation sites and provide occasional international support or training.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience building, upgrading, repairing, or maintaining computer hardware.
• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent hardware hobbyist experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of motherboards, CPUs, RAM, SSDs, HDDs, power supplies, Windows, Linux, and office suites.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with domestic and international teams.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to Kansas City-area colocation sites using company-provided transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in physically demanding positions is required.
