Data Center Operations Technician (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site at data center locations in and around Santa Clara, California; based in or able to commute to or relocate to Santa Clara, CA. Travel to additional data center expansion sites may be required, with on-call participation in Santa Clara or other off-site locations.

Base salary: $28–$35 USD.

What you will do

• Unpack, rack, stack, install, replace, and package servers and system components.
• Read elevation plans and execute equipment assemblies and installations accurately.
• Install and maintain networking technologies and fabrics while keeping racks and cabling organized.
• Troubleshoot equipment and collaborate with subject matter experts to resolve issues.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving with the logistics team and complete assigned tickets within tight SLAs.
• Support data center expansions, retrofits, repairs, documentation, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Entry-level experience, typically 0–1+ years, with a high school diploma; an associate degree is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating lifting equipment after training.
• Ability to work independently and in groups in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Must work on-site at Santa Clara-area data centers and reliably commute or relocate to Santa Clara before starting.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of networking, programming or scripting, hardware, and operating system repair.
• Ability to perform initial debugging of hardware and Linux operating system issues.
