Data Center Technician (AI)

Location: Caledonia, Michigan, United States; 100% onsite at a data center. Requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule and responding to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes. Travel to other data center locations may be required up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $65,000–$83,000 base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain data center operations to ensure infrastructure availability, reliability, and defined service levels.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, networking equipment, and software-related failures.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide technical support to data center teams.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and inventory server and networking equipment.
• Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware, and create operational documentation.
• Train internal teams and maintain test and tool equipment.

Requirements

• Experience troubleshooting and assembling computer hardware.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Ability to transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and work in cramped, elevated, hot, and cold aisle environments ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
• Availability for a flexible schedule in a 24/7 environment, including rotating on-call shifts.
• Strong time management, organizational, communication, prioritization, and rapid-response skills.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control access requirements, including qualifying as a U.S. person or being eligible for the required authorization.

Nice to have

• Data center and computer networking experience.
• Python, Bash, or other scripting language experience.
• Experience with Cisco IOS or Juniper JunOS.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
