Senior Specialist, Program Scheduler (Defense Tech)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Onsite program role with a 9/80 schedule; travel up to 25% may be required. Some positions may require security clearance, which can only be granted to U.S. citizens.

What you will do

• Develop, integrate, and maintain integrated master schedules across the full program planning and schedule management lifecycle.
• Coordinate schedules across finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, quality, and other program functions.
• Perform critical path verification, time-phased analysis, schedule risk assessments, and variance analysis.
• Track program plans, budgets, milestones, resources, and performance using earned value management and related project controls.
• Resolve schedule conflicts and develop work-around strategies and tactical alternatives.
• Lead or participate in schedule status reviews and communicate program status to internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant program scheduler experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience; or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience creating or maintaining integrated master schedules and supporting schedules.
• Experience with earned value management, including cost or schedule integration.
• Experience with critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, and schedules spanning the product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of engineering processes, risk management, and master schedule analysis.
• U.S. citizenship may be required for positions requiring security clearance; background checks and pre-employment substance abuse testing may apply.

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Project and Milestones Professional.
• Knowledge of DoD EVMS Guidelines (ANSI-748C), IPPD, and IPMR.
• Team building, influencing, and relationship management skills.
