Business Development Manager

What you will do

• Lead sales activity and maximise earned income from venue hire, corporate meetings, events, private dining, weddings, group bookings, and filming.
• Develop premium commercial packages that reflect Jodrell Bank’s location and unique facilities.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, agencies, private bookers, key partners, and internal colleagues.
• Lead and support the Events Coordinator and Casual Event Assistants in delivering professional client liaison and customer service.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, catering, and hospitality teams on sales initiatives.
• Set and track commercial KPIs, monitor costs, analyse budgets, and contribute to annual business plans.

Requirements

• Strong commercial focus with experience driving revenue and maximising profitability.
• Ability to develop and deliver business strategies for venue hire, group bookings, and other income streams.
• Experience building effective relationships with corporate clients, agencies, private customers, and partners.
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate activity across a busy visitor and educational site.
