AI Engineer II (AI)

Location: Texas, United States; onsite, hybrid, or remote according to team policy

Base pay range: $93,300–$146,630 USD annually for Texas and listed comparable U.S. markets

What you will do

• Design and build internal AI-powered tools and web applications across front-end, back-end, data, API, and LLM integrations.
• Own AI applications, workflow automations, and system integrations from requirements and technical design through production deployment.
• Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders to create scalable solutions for business problems.
• Evaluate and integrate AI models, APIs, frameworks, and development approaches.
• Deliver production-quality applications with testing, documentation, monitoring, and maintainability.
• Build reusable AI capabilities and communicate technical designs, tradeoffs, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience building software, data products, or AI-powered tools through professional, internship, academic, or substantial independent project experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data analysis, application development, and statistical or machine-learning workflows.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning and statistical modeling, including regression, classification, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Experience working with large structured datasets using Snowflake, relational databases, or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Experience developing or integrating REST APIs and backend services using FastAPI or similar frameworks, plus familiarity with modern web applications.
• Ability to ship functional tools to real users, evaluate performance, solve problems, and explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, and LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Familiarity with AI agents, tool or function calling, intent routing, retrieval systems, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Docker, AWS, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, or multi-system integrations.
• Experience with Snowflake, Salesforce, or other go-to-market and revenue data systems.
