AI Engineer Associate Consultant

Location: Hybrid role based in Princeton, New Jersey; Bellevue, Washington; South San Francisco, California; or Thousand Oaks, California. Onsite presence at a hirify.global office or client site is required three days per week, with remote work available two days per week.

Salary: $140,000–$154,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, distributed software systems and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and deploy LLM-based pipelines using RAG, agentic workflows, PEFT, LoRA, and QLoRA.
• Architect cloud infrastructure and Databricks governance from data through AI model output.
• Implement prompt and response guardrails to support responsible AI requirements.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, code reviews, and technical execution.
• Implement DevOps automation, monitoring, continuous integration, and delivery using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong software development skills in Python and JavaScript, with experience using FastAPI or Django.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Databricks, Unity Catalog, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services such as Redshift, RDS, and S3.
• Strong experience with LLM solution patterns and tools, including RAG, vector databases, hybrid search, agent development, prompt engineering, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, and DSPy.
• Experience with production deployments serving thousands of users, scalable application design, security practices, privacy compliance, version control, DevOps, and Agile or Scrum.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with Redis and vector search.
• Azure DevOps experience.
