Senior AI Engineer

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid Flex Work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Annual base salary: $186,000–$278,000 USD for the primary location; additional U.S. locations have a base pay range of $176,000–$312,000 USD.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and integrate intelligent agent systems into hirify.global’s enterprise platform.
• Develop production-grade software around foundation models and modern AI APIs.
• Design and orchestrate complex agentic workflows, including multi-agent systems and routing layers.
• Build responsible AI controls, governance mechanisms, guardrails, and evaluation systems for sensitive HR and financial data.
• Optimize application latency, token usage, cost, context-window efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
• Lead engineering workstreams, own development lifecycles, and mentor junior-to-mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design, plus 1+ year building production-grade LLM or agentic systems; or 5+ years in machine learning engineering or AI application development with 2+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
• 2+ years integrating LLMs, foundation models, and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
• 1+ year designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures, multi-agent frameworks, routing layers, or advanced RAG pipelines.
• 4+ years optimizing application performance and 4+ years deploying scalable systems on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI governance, security layers, guardrails, and evaluation for autonomous agents handling sensitive enterprise data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.

• Experience rapidly prototyping, benchmarking model outputs, and creating automated evaluation metrics for retrieval quality and agentic behavior.
