People Consultant (HR)

Location: Hybrid role requiring in-office attendance three days per week at the Raleigh, North Carolina office; based in the United States.

Salary: $129,200–$145,000 USD target On-Target Earnings (OTE), including base salary and potential commission.

What you will do

• Coach managers and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, company policies, culture, and values.
• Triage employee relations concerns and support timely, effective resolution of sensitive workplace issues.
• Help managers address underperformance through documented coaching and performance improvement plans.
• Partner with Legal on formal investigation close-outs and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
• Work with HR Operations to implement complex HR processes and transactions.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional HR projects and maintain relationships with employees, leaders, HR, and Legal.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, HR generalist, or HR business partner roles.
• Experience resolving complex, unique, and highly sensitive employment-related issues.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, employment standards, legislation, and employee relations practices.
• Ability to advise diverse stakeholders while balancing legal compliance and business needs.
• Strong influencing, judgment, decision-making, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with HR, Legal, managers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
