Director, Product Line Management (Wireless Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office

Base salary: USD 204,000–434,000 annually in California, United States, plus possible variable incentives.

What you will do

• Define and execute the long-term strategy, vision, roadmap, and investment priorities for an enterprise wireless infrastructure portfolio.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle across multiple generations, from concept and development through launch and end-of-life.
• Engage customers, partners, analysts, and industry influencers to validate product strategies and translate requirements into platform investments.
• Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and executive leadership to deliver product roadmaps and drive adoption.
• Own business cases, pricing strategies, revenue forecasts, investment plans, market share, profitability, and customer adoption metrics.
• Mentor Product Managers and Product Line Managers while advising executive leadership on wireless market trends and competitive positioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive product management or product line management experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing product managers or cross-functional product teams.
• Experience managing complex hardware-based portfolios in enterprise WLAN, networking infrastructure, cloud-managed networking, campus and branch networking, or adjacent infrastructure markets.
• Strong understanding of wireless networking technologies, enterprise infrastructure, networking architectures, product roadmaps, and cross-functional execution.
• Outstanding communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced technical degree.
• Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi, wireless access points, controllers, network management platforms, or cloud-managed networking solutions.
• Knowledge of campus networking, switching, routing, network security, and AI-driven network operations.
• Experience in a global technology organization and strong financial acumen.
