Principal Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. hirify.global will not sponsor work visas.

Base compensation: $158,400–$237,600 per year, plus a 25% annual bonus target and RSUs.

What you will do

• Lead product design for complex initiatives across hirify.global Markets, Lending, and related financial products.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into coherent end-to-end experiences while identifying dependencies, missing logic, edge cases, and downstream effects.
• Design sophisticated workflows, data-dense interfaces, account and transaction experiences, permissions, lifecycle states, and error scenarios.
• Partner with Product and Engineering from problem definition through implementation, shaping requirements and resolving technical constraints.
• Create prototypes and high-fidelity designs, communicate tradeoffs, and present design rationale to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
• Contribute to the design system, establish reusable patterns, and mentor designers across the organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, including ownership of complex products or major product areas.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and shipped experiences.
• Experience solving problems with incomplete requirements and understanding how design decisions affect workflows, systems, users, and states.
• Strong skills in sophisticated workflows, data-heavy products, multi-step experiences, typography, hierarchy, layout, and interaction detail.
• Ability to drive work from problem framing through implementation and collaborate effectively with engineers.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience designing fintech, trading, investing, lending, crypto, capital markets, payments, or other financial products.
• Experience in regulated industries involving compliance, permissions, disclosures, and operational constraints.
• Familiarity with institutional financial workflows, complex account structures, transaction lifecycles, and roles and permissions.
• Experience contributing to design systems and using prototyping or emerging AI tools.
