Technical Program Manager - New Product Integration (Autonomous Vehicles): Taking autonomous vehicle kit designs from engineering release through first-article builds, pilot units, and full production ramps with an accent on cross-functional sequencing, dependency tracking, and launch readiness. Focus on coordinating hardware, firmware, robotics, software, operations, and manufacturing teams, driving build gates, and closing field and manufacturing feedback loops.

Location: San Francisco, CA; onsite five days a week

Base salary: $122,000–$151,000 per year, plus potential equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.

Company

hirify.global AI develops and deploys production-ready autonomous vehicle technology, including Autonomous Haulage Systems for mines, quarries, and construction sites.

What you will do

  • Sequence new kit programs from engineering release through first-article builds, pilot builds, ECO execution, and full production ramp.
  • Own master schedules, program status, blockers, dependencies, and shared-resource tracking across Hardware, EE, Firmware, Robotics, Software, Operations, and Manufacturing.
  • Run program syncs and design reviews, drive decisions to closure, and escalate resourcing or sequencing conflicts with clear recommendations.
  • Define readiness criteria and drive go/no-go decisions at each build and quality-control gate.
  • Partner with NPI and Manufacturing Engineering on DFM/DFA feedback, work instructions, and build and QC checklists.
  • Connect field and manufacturing issues with engineering teams and carry lessons learned into future kit programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical program or product management experience for hardware products.
  • Direct experience taking a hardware or electromechanical product from design release through pilot build and into production.
  • Broad technical fluency across hardware, electrical engineering, firmware, software, and manufacturing.
  • Experience owning schedules across four or more cross-functional teams with competing priorities.
  • Ability to build sequencing and tracking processes in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead design reviews and gate meetings to decisions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, heavy industrial equipment, on-road transport, or off-road and mining programs.
  • Experience with PLM or configuration management systems, BOM control, and ECO processes.
  • Familiarity with Linear or similar tools for cross-team ticket and dependency tracking.
  • Experience scaling from a small number to a double-digit number of concurrent hardware programs.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on production-deployed autonomy in demanding real-world environments.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and industry operators.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, including HSA options.
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance, with optional supplemental coverage and pet insurance discounts.
  • 401(k), HSA, and flexible spending accounts.
  • Discretionary vacation, paid holidays, sick time, bereavement leave, and parental leave.
