Autonomous Vehicle Operations Manager (Fleet Deployment and Readiness)

Location: Onsite at the London depot, United Kingdom; daily attendance required and no remote work is offered

What you will do

• Own end-to-end fleet health and ensure vehicles are diagnosed, deployment-ready, safe, and performing to standard.
• Develop fleet health and deployment strategies with the General Manager, including readiness assessments and site and fleet performance evaluations.
• Lead diagnostic methods, predictive maintenance initiatives, technical upgrades, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Analyze fleet performance data, monitor KPIs, and report trends and improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with product teams, ride-hailing operations, diagnostic teams, and vendor partners to maximize vehicles in service.
• Build and lead the Fleet Deployment and Readiness team, manage staffing, coach technicians, and oversee third-party performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field; autonomous vehicle experience is preferred.
• Experience leading and developing vehicle technicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive vehicle systems and related infrastructure.
• Proven project management, work-order triage, vehicle-flow management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom without current or future sponsorship. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when fleet operations require.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Kaizen and daily incremental process and systems improvement.
