Chief of Staff (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, United States; in-office 5 days a week

Salary: $150,000–$235,000 annual starting salary plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Act as a force multiplier to the founder and president on complex, interdisciplinary company problems.
• Shadow the founder and participate in executive meetings, external pitches, interviews, and product workshops.
• Travel to visit partners and customers and build deep context on the business.
• Identify and solve problems across the company, including operational process redesign, product feature development, and new business creation.
• Take on increasingly complex and impactful challenges across the business.
• Potentially transition into a specialized area, launch a new business line, or pursue company founding opportunities over time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience doing difficult, high-impact work in areas such as consulting, banking, engineering, product, operations, or entrepreneurship.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data, combined with intuitive thinking.
• Use writing to think precisely and clarify complex or ambiguous problems.
• Technical mindset and ability to learn quickly.
• High ownership, speed, drive, humility, curiosity, and willingness to work through unfamiliar problems.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week and work long hours, including some Sundays.
