Quality Manager - Field Operations (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote/traveling field role; 75% travel to utility-scale energy construction project sites and approximately one week of remote work per month.

Salary: $110,617–$160,396 per year, determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Enforce the Quality Program across assigned construction sites and verify alignment with contracts, designs, company standards, and applicable codes.
• Conduct site visits, quality audits, and inspections covering standard work instructions, inspection and test plans, quality control procedures, and project specifications.
• Assess installation methods and workmanship through direct field observation.
• Partner with General Superintendents and site leaders to provide hands-on quality coaching and drive measurable improvement.
• Monitor quality KPIs, identify negative trends, and escalate recurring or unresolved issues.
• Lead or support root cause analysis for nonconformities and verify corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quality management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 or more years of leadership experience in utility-scale energy construction.
• Direct supervision experience demonstrating a personal commitment to quality execution in the field.
• Ability to travel 75% and work at project sites.
• At least 3 years of experience executing quality programs.

Nice to have

• Coursework or certifications in solar energy systems or renewable energy construction.
• Experience with Procore.
• Exposure to innovative quality-inspection technologies.
