Regional Safety Manager - Western US

Location: USA-Remote; the role supports projects throughout the United States and may require travel to the Midwest, East Coast, and other locations, with up to 75% travel.

Salary: $111,000–$161,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Prepare site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analyses for assigned projects.
• Lead safety, health, and environmental compliance programs across construction, solar, BESS, O&M, EPC, federal, and other operations.
• Conduct project-site safety audits and verify compliance with applicable policies, OSHA requirements, and adopted standards.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Partner with project leaders, supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve safety concerns and maintain a positive safety culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible EHS experience in construction, renewable energy, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or energy operations.
• Experience supporting utility-scale or commercial solar PV construction, BESS, or solar O&M activities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, arc-flash hazard mitigation, energized work practices, and OSHA compliance.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and First Aid & CPR certifications are required; a valid driver’s license in good standing is also required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, written communication, and professional communication with leaders, project teams, and subcontractors.

Nice to have

• Experience applying OSHA Construction 29 CFR 1926 and General Industry 29 CFR 1910 standards.
• OSHA 510, OSHA 511, CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, OHST, or other recognized professional safety certifications.
