Manager, Project Controls (EPC)

What you will do

• Lead the integrated project controls function across cost, schedule, change, risk, reporting, and commercial support.
• Own project budget architecture, cost baselines, forecasting, contingency governance, cash flow forecasting, and monthly cost reporting.
• Set planning standards and ensure cost and schedule data are resource-loaded, time-phased, reconciled, and connected to project progress.
• Manage change control, trend registers, risk registers, quantitative Monte Carlo analysis, and P50/P80 contingency positions.
• Implement earned value management, KPI dashboards, integrated project reporting, and ad hoc analysis for investment and recovery decisions.
• Lead the project controls team and oversee controls interfaces with contractors, consultants, procurement, commercial, legal, and project leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, finance, or a related discipline; equivalent technically grounded experience may be considered.
• At least 12 years of project controls experience on EPC or EPCM capital projects, including at least 5 years leading an integrated controls function on projects exceeding $500 million.
• Strong expertise in cost engineering, planning, earned value management, forecasting methodology, and contractual EPC progress measurement.
• Demonstrated ownership of change control and contingency management through project closeout.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and controls interfaces with EPC contractors.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Power BI is required or strongly relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience in oil and gas, LNG, chemicals, nuclear, power and renewables, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data center projects.
• AACE, PMI, or equivalent professional credentials.
• Experience with FIDIC, LSTK, reimbursable, or alliance contracts, including delay and quantum analysis.
• Familiarity with advanced work packaging, systems completion, FEL governance, stage gates, and joint venture environments.
