Technical Support Trainer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Plainview, New York, United States; approximately 25% travel to customer manufacturing sites is required.

Salary: $78,362–$104,483 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, schedule, and deliver technical training for internal Field Service Engineers, customer operators, and maintenance personnel.
• Provide classroom, laboratory, hands-on, remote, and computer-based instruction on equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, and released procedures.
• Create training packages covering system overviews, subsystems, major assemblies, system operations, and software operations.
• Convert existing materials into LMS-ready courses, including multimedia content, and track attendance and course completion.
• Work with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to define learning objectives and validate training content.
• Review and validate technical procedures for safety, clarity, completeness, and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an Engineering and Applied Technology degree with five years of Technical Support or Field Service experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Experience installing, sustaining, troubleshooting, or supporting Ion Beam or related equipment.
• Experience in semiconductor or technical manufacturing Technical Support is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, fluid delivery, and control system concepts.
• Ability to explain complex machinery functions, troubleshoot equipment issues, and teach systematic diagnostic methods.
• Ability to apply safety practices, including hazard identification, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tagout requirements.
