Mission Operations Specialist (Defense Technology)

Location: Full-time onsite at the headquarters in Hawthorne, California, United States; regular CONUS/OCONUS travel required for product testing, demonstrations, and deliveries, approximately 50% of the time.

Salary: $35.00–$58.00 per hour in base compensation, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Coordinate and prepare internal R&D tests, customer demonstrations, exercises, and system deliveries.
• Install, configure, integrate, and field hardware and software systems in operational environments.
• Coordinate with logistics, engineering, and program teams to ensure deployment readiness and on-time delivery.
• Provide hands-on product support and lead basic troubleshooting across hardware, software, networking, and system integration.
• Escalate complex issues with detailed reproduction steps and operational context.
• Support military, government, and commercial customers during tactical deployments and overseas engagements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting military, government, or enterprise technology systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking environments.
• Experience with tactical communications, networking, sensors, UAS, C2 systems, or AI-enabled platforms.
• Ability to plan and coordinate engagements in remote areas, mitigate operational risks, and travel domestically and internationally.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and coordination skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Slack, Teams, and Zoom.
• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Military Science, or a related field.
• Experience as an FSR, FAE, Systems Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Operations Engineer with a hardware component.
• Knowledge of radar, RF, sensors, weapons systems, defense technology, and communications.
• Military background or extensive experience working with military organizations.
