Project Manager (Process Engineering/Manufacturing)

Location: McKinney, Texas, United States; requires a constant shop-floor presence, a flexible schedule supporting a 24/7 facility, and travel up to 50% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead process improvement projects that improve yield, efficiency, capacity, and business performance.
• Develop, document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes, products, and process controls.
• Lead risk and reward evaluations, Lean Sigma initiatives, training, and best-practice adoption.
• Specify, procure, and commission manufacturing equipment and instrumentation, including capital cost justification.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment on the shop floor using root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Maintain product performance specifications and bills of material while influencing cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or computer engineering, manufacturing science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience designing, installing, operating, or maintaining manufacturing processes and equipment in a continuous-operation environment.
• Strong project management, communication, problem-solving, and execution skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Experience with DOE and SPC techniques and an understanding of control systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule supporting a facility operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work regularly on the manufacturing floor.

Nice to have

• Wire and cable manufacturing experience involving thermoplastic or thermoset conductors.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt experience.
• Project management training or certification.
• Lean Sigma practitioner experience.
