What you will do
- Set up and operate boring bars, drills, grinders, jig bores, key seaters, lathes, milling machines, NC/CNC/MDI machines, presses, and saws.
- Use precision testing and measuring instruments according to manufacturer accuracy specifications.
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts to required tolerances and specifications.
- Apply the operating principles and design limitations of machine tools, assemblies, and mechanical devices.
- Read engineering drawings, machine assembly and construction prints, sketches, manuals, and vendor diagrams.
- Follow safe work methods and contribute to a strong environmental health and safety culture.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old for this U.S. production role.
- Associate degree or technical diploma or higher in Machine Tool Technology, completed and verified before starting.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
- Knowledge of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machine tools, machining processes, tolerances, and specifications.
- Ability to work with engineering drawings, machine prints, equipment manuals, and vendor diagrams.
Nice to have
- Three years of experience with turning, milling, welding, CNC, lathe, and mill equipment.
- Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Mazatrol equipment.
- Five years of experience with NX CAD software.
- Five years of experience with CNC machining equipment.
