Machinist (CNC)

Location: Hartsville Machinery & Manufacturing, Hartsville, South Carolina, USA. Onsite role with rotating shifts and possible overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Base rate: $30.46–$39.28 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Operate and program NC mills using G-code or conversational programming.
• Set up machines and create fixtures for individual parts.
• Select appropriate speeds, feeds, materials, and tooling.
• Read standard and metric blueprints and apply GD&T requirements.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, scales, and tape measures.
• Follow safety procedures, document production issues, communicate with the other shift, and move between machines or assignments as workload changes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Thorough knowledge of machine shop equipment and working knowledge of CNC equipment.
• Experience with assembly or fabrication work from blueprints.
• Proficiency in basic math, geometry, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, when needed.

Nice to have

• Technical degree in Machine Shop.
• Experience with Esprit, Mastercam, or similar programming software.
