Manual Mill Machinist (Manufacturing)

Location: Caledonia, Illinois, United States; onsite manufacturing facility

Salary: $22.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
• Load raw materials and operate manual milling machines to produce parts to exact specifications.
• Set up machines, adjust operating speeds, and replace worn cutting tools.
• Measure and inspect completed parts for quality and specification compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, identify machine problems, and complete necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace and follow all safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a custom machine shop.
• Experience operating manual milling equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read machine drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to complete setups and produce quality parts with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple jobs, follow directions, and work effectively in a team.
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and maintain good attendance.
