Platform Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: London, UK; hybrid with in-person work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Salary: £90,000–£135,000 for Level 3 or £120,000–£160,000 for Level 4, plus equity

What you will do

• Own and implement the platform security roadmap in partnership with the Platform Lead.
• Build, onboard and evolve security tooling, including SafeChain plugins, SAST, DAST and security gates.
• Deliver additional SaaS compliance programs and support customer audits.
• Partner with developer experience teams to enable fast and secure software delivery.
• Implement scalable code-hardening patterns across the engineering organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of platform engineering experience in high-growth, cloud-native SaaS environments, or equivalent demonstrated impact.
• Deep cloud-native experience with AWS, including Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, IAM and networking.
• Experience designing infrastructure and writing production code in TypeScript or a similar language.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and security controls at scale.
• Strong security-enablement mindset, with the ability to automate toil, improve feedback loops and support engineering productivity.
• Ability to coach teammates, share knowledge and make pragmatic infrastructure and security trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pulumi or a similar infrastructure-as-code framework.
• ISC2 certification at any level.
• Experience running ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type II compliance programs.
• Open-source contributions to security, infrastructure or developer tooling projects.
