Platform Engineer (Azure)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working model with in-person collaboration in dedicated offices and focused remote work.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure with Terraform across development, staging, and production environments.
• Own RBAC and IAM across cloud infrastructure and application layers for a multi-tenant platform.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes-based deployment workflows.
• Develop internal tooling and observability capabilities for reliable, performant software delivery.
• Participate in support and on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Apply security and networking expertise while coaching application developers on secure, scalable delivery.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, ideally with Azure, plus production Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-level RBAC and IAM; application-level IAM and multi-tenant product experience are valuable.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and improving deployment reliability and safety.
• Solid security and networking fundamentals with a hands-on engineering approach.
• Experience with support or on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause investigation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, coaching, ownership, autonomy, and product thinking.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple cloud providers, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Background in developer experience, internal tooling, startups, or high-growth engineering environments.
• Security certifications.

Hiring process

• Initial recruiter screen.
• Competency interviews, including programming and a hiring manager interview.
• Deep-dive technical interviews covering cloud platform engineering and system design, followed by a final mission and values interview.
