TL;DR
Infrastructure Engineer (AI) (CI/CD, Kubernetes, AWS): Building Primer's internal developer platform, deployment workflows, self-service tooling, and human-AI development loop with an accent on developer productivity, operational ownership, and reliable software delivery. Focus on designing agent-enabled engineering workflows, measuring delivery performance, improving golden-path tooling, and operating production infrastructure.

What you will do
- Own the internal developer platform, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, canary and blue/green releases, self-service tooling, and ephemeral environments.
- Build tooling and automation for effective, fast, and safe collaboration between engineers and coding agents.
- Measure developer productivity with DORA, SPACE, or similar frameworks and improve delivery bottlenecks.
- Own production reliability, participate in the Core Infrastructure on-call rotation, and operate the systems you build.
- Set technical direction, mentor less experienced engineers, and develop golden-path tooling, internal APIs, frameworks, and service standards.
- Collaborate openly across a distributed team and make technical decisions and trade-offs visible.
Requirements
- Strong cloud infrastructure experience with AWS preferred; strong GCP experience is also considered.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
- Practical infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar.
- Ownership of build, test, deploy workflows and preview environments, with CI/CD as a core competency.
- Experience measuring and improving software delivery using DORA, SPACE, or a similar framework.
- Software engineering experience, production ownership, on-call participation, and strong async communication skills in a remote distributed team.
Nice to have
- Experience building AI or agent tooling and working with LLM-based development workflows.
- Familiarity with MCP servers and agent integration patterns.
- Payments, fintech, or other regulated-industry experience.
