Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with in-person collaboration in dedicated offices and remote work.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Support cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, containerised workloads, and orchestration platforms.
• Monitor platform performance and improve observability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and automate operational workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand platform needs and improve the developer experience.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and cloud-based deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of networking, cloud architecture, and system reliability fundamentals.
• Collaborative problem-solving skills and an interest in reducing manual work through automation.

Hiring process

• Initial recruiter call lasting approximately 30 minutes.
• Competency interview with the hiring manager, followed by approximately three hours of technical interviews covering programming, system design, build systems, CI/CD infrastructure, automation, Linux, Git, scripting, distributed execution, caching, and artifact management.
• Final 60-minute interview with a director.
