Production and Material Planning Manager (Biotechnology)

Location: On-site in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States

Annual salary: $91,500–$160,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead production, material, supply, inventory, capacity, and replenishment planning across the manufacturing network.
• Translate demand into feasible supply plans that support customer delivery, operational performance, and business objectives.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Commercial, and Global Supply Planning teams to manage constraints and business planning activities.
• Set planning strategies and inventory parameters for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Use data, KPIs, daily management, and structured problem solving to improve service, inventory health, and operational efficiency.
• Lead planning transformation, system enhancement, product launch, sourcing, and process improvement projects while coaching the planning team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Long-standing experience in production planning, material planning, supply planning, inventory management, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading people, including performance management, talent development, and team leadership.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and planning tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing inventory, supply planning, capacity planning, and service performance metrics.
• Experience with cross-functional initiatives and regulated manufacturing, life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, or similar production environments.

Nice to have

• APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Experience with the hirify.global Business System, Lean, or comparable continuous improvement methods.
• Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
