Sr Spec., Production Planning (Demand Planner / SIOP)

Location: On-site in Camden, New Jersey; Palm Bay, Florida; or Northampton, Massachusetts. Occasional travel to other sites is required, approximately 10%.

Salary range: $79,000–$147,000 for applicable locations including Massachusetts and New Jersey. Additional posted ranges may apply depending on geographic location.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams to gather, consolidate, and analyze demand data.
• Develop and maintain an 18–24-month demand plan using sales orders, customer forecasts, market trends, and historical sales data.
• Prepare for and lead monthly SIOP meetings, aligning demand plans with business priorities and operational capabilities.
• Monitor demand changes, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend inventory and production planning adjustments.
• Collaborate with Business Development, PMO, and Engineering on customer requirements, market dynamics, and upcoming opportunities.
• Create planning metrics and reports while driving continuous improvement across demand planning processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of related experience, a master’s degree with 4+ years, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in planning, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain, including 2+ years in demand planning.
• At least 4 years of experience with SIOP processes and principles.
• At least 4 years of experience with ERP systems, specifically Deltek Costpoint, in demand and inventory management.
• At least 2 years of experience with supply chain best practices, inventory optimization, risk management, and demand planning software.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI; security clearance eligibility may require U.S. citizenship.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace and defense, supporting multiple sites, or working in a program management and engineering-driven organization.
• Knowledge of MRP systems, master scheduling, capacity planning, production planning, and inventory management.
• APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Degree in operations management, supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical field.
