Operations Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: DeLisle Plant, Pass Christian, Mississippi, United States

Salary: $141,120–$220,500 annually; annual bonus target: 18%

What you will do

• Lead assigned manufacturing areas to deliver safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
• Develop Production Leaders, supervisors, and operations personnel while strengthening accountability, engagement, and safety culture.
• Manage performance across safety, process safety, production, OEE, downtime, reliability, yield, quality, productivity, and cost metrics.
• Develop operating plans, manage fixed and variable costs, and deliver annual productivity commitments.
• Partner with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Capital Projects, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership teams.
• Drive Lean improvement through daily management, visual management, standard work, Kaizen, and structured problem solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing or industrial operations experience, including leadership in a PSM-covered, high-hazard chemical, petrochemical, refining, or comparable process manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading managers and developing leaders while delivering safety, production, quality, reliability, and organizational performance.
• Experience managing significant operating or fixed-cost budgets and improving results through KPIs and operational discipline.
• Must be able to work at the DeLisle Plant in Pass Christian, Mississippi.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas, is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Lean manufacturing experience, Lean certification, or experience leading a Lean transformation.
• Experience using SAP or another ERP system.
• Experience improving aging, corrosive, abrasive, or otherwise challenging process-manufacturing assets.
