Senior Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Tewksbury, Massachusetts, United States; onsite operations leadership role.

Salary: $144,100–$208,100 USD per year plus bonus.

What you will do

• Lead production operations covering assembly and test, quality, inventory control, supply chain, shipping and receiving, and field service.
• Develop production strategies, action plans, master schedules, material plans, and manufacturing estimates through product delivery.
• Coordinate with program management, engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and field service teams to resolve operational and supplier issues.
• Maintain production build and quality records and ensure outbound logistics and operations comply with regulatory requirements.
• Report schedules, forecasts, risks, and performance to senior leadership while driving cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Manage, coach, and develop 16 employees, including frontline managers and production personnel.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience with cost, scheduling, project leadership, process improvement, proposal creation, and labor estimating.
• Experience leading teams and solving complex cross-functional problems with limited resources.
• Experience with RCCA investigations, MRP systems, supplier non-conformance resolution, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication, organization, accuracy, attention to detail, and quality orientation.
• Manufacturing experience in defense-related electronics and familiarity with Six Sigma, Kaizen, LEAN, and diverse contract types are strongly desired.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with finance reporting.
