Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection

Location: Harrison, Arkansas; candidates should reside within the listed ZIP codes and service the same territory. This is a remote-field position involving work from home, a mobile office/vehicle, in-person appointments, and occasional travel to other territories.

Salary: $63,089.65–$90,000 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Conduct on-site inspections and assess residential and commercial property damage.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Gather evidence, document findings, prepare reports, and estimate repair costs.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Explain coverage, support policyholders through the claims process, and collaborate with agents and other stakeholders.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits.

Requirements

• Experience investigating problems, evaluating information, and making well-supported decisions.
• Ability to interpret policies, guidelines, and technical information and apply them accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer-focused conversations, including difficult or emotional situations.
• Ability to assess damage, estimate repair costs, negotiate settlements, and use mobile and desktop tools for claims documentation.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, navigate roofs at various heights, and crawl in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license required. Required training, licensing exams, motor vehicle record checks, and background checks may apply.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction.
• Water mitigation inspection experience.
• Experience with Xactimate and XactContents.
