Team Lead, Energy & Construction (E&C) & Energy OPS

Location: Kansas City, Missouri; Windsor, Connecticut; or Alpharetta, Georgia, US. Hybrid work requires at least three days in the office each week, with full-time onsite work available. The role is not eligible for full-time telework, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $76,000–$114,000 annually, plus applicable incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Underwriting Assistants and Operations professionals across the Energy and Construction portfolio.
• Oversee post-underwriting activities including binders, endorsements, policy issuance, renewals, cancellations, and invoicing.
• Monitor service levels, quality, productivity, operational KPIs, workload allocation, and business continuity.
• Partner with underwriters, brokers, claims, compliance, finance, legal, and technology stakeholders to support portfolio growth.
• Maintain operational controls, audit readiness, documentation quality, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead process improvement, technology enablement, AI adoption, automation, workflow modernization, training, and change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
• At least five years of commercial insurance operations, underwriting support, or underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills.
• Demonstrated success leading change and process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Energy, Construction, Specialty, or Commercial Insurance operations is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work from one of the listed US locations with at least three office days per week; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.
