Distribution Lead - First Shift (Warehouse Operations)

Location: Onsite in Groveport, Ohio, United States. Monday–Friday, first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; overtime may be required at the beginning of the shift.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily warehouse workflow, employee assignments, truck arrivals, dock assignments, and shipping priorities.
• Monitor product movement, staging, identification, packaging, quality, and inventory counts.
• Support employees by answering questions, solving operational problems, reviewing quality, and assisting with training.
• Communicate shipping status, safety concerns, equipment issues, and operational needs to the Distribution Center Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and ensure compliance with operating procedures and company policies.
• Support department operations and work procedures in the Supervisor’s absence within assigned authority.

Requirements

• Prior warehouse, distribution, logistics, or related experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, product flow, inventory handling, product identification, labeling, packaging, and quality standards.
• Ability to safely operate or learn warehouse equipment and use warehouse systems, RF scanners, or similar technology.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, follow-up, and basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and move around the distribution floor.
• Ability to work onsite at the Groveport, Ohio distribution facility and wear required personal protective equipment.

• Lead, trainer, coordinator, or informal leadership experience.
• Shipping, dock operations, staging, small parcel, LTL, or outbound order-flow experience.
• Experience with ERP/WMS platforms, SAP, or similar warehouse technology.
• Experience training or coaching employees on standard work, safety, quality, and productivity.
