Field Service Technician I (Medical Devices)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; field-based hospital and service environments with customer account visits and 24/7 on-call coverage.

Salary: $43,200–$59,400 per year.

What you will do

• Clean, disinfect, inspect, and prepare rental and customer-owned medical products for patient use.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and malfunctioning components.
• Use appropriate tools to perform equipment adjustments and repairs.
• Provide delivery, removal, and service support for products at service centers and customer accounts, including up to 24/7 on-call coverage.
• Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1,680 pounds.
• Safely operate a cargo van, box truck, or company vehicle up to 26,000 pounds and complete service-contract activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to work in hospital and service environments where biohazards may be present and to use required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Technical or trade school training.
• DOT physical card; assistance is provided.
• Experience with FDA-regulated products.
• Customer service experience.
