Field Service Engineer (Diagnostics)

Location: Miami, FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States; home-based office with 50%+ travel and overnight stays 3–4 nights per week

Annual base salary: $64,000–$100,100, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and qualification of instruments at customer sites.
• Provide customer coverage within 24 hours of notification, including weekday and on-call weekend support.
• Schedule and manage preventive maintenance and unscheduled service visits.
• Determine repair-part inventory levels and coordinate with supply lines.
• Document resolutions in the CRM system and escalate issues when needed.
• Collaborate with Product Application Engineers on quality issues and ensure equipment meets regulatory and quality-control standards.

Requirements

• Ability to service customer sites across the Miami and Fort Lauderdale territory, travel 50% or more, and participate in on-call duties.
• Two to five years of related field experience with direct customer interaction, preferably in a laboratory setting.
• Working knowledge of chemistry principles, chemical handling, and electronic testing equipment.
• Knowledge of inventory and procurement systems, plus solid computer and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet customer credentialing requirements and pass a comprehensive background check.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; an AA/AS, BS/BA, equivalent experience, or practical military experience is preferred or considered.
