Senior Research Scientist - CAHPS/HOS Analytics

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings.

Salary: $104,000–$143,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Build an evidence base on factors associated with Health Outcomes Survey performance.
• Develop and maintain an inventory of potential HOS leading indicators and evaluate relevant data sources.
• Conduct rapid exploratory and ad hoc analyses using internal and external data.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into research plans, actionable recommendations, and intervention strategies.
• Partner with HOS Operations and Stars Analytics on predictive models, member targeting, and outreach.
• Communicate findings, evidence limitations, risks, and opportunities to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, behavioral science, social science, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s or doctoral degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with data manipulation, exploratory analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
• Proficiency in at least one analytical or statistical programming language, including Python, R, SAS, or SQL.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to nontechnical audiences.
• This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.
• Remote work requires a dedicated space for protecting member PHI/HIPAA information and internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Nice to have

• Experience with behavioral science, survey methodology, psychometrics, or member-reported outcomes.
• Healthcare, Medicare Advantage, Stars, HOS, CAHPS, patient experience, or quality improvement experience.
• Experience with literature reviews, evidence synthesis, competitive intelligence, intervention design, or consumer outreach.
• Experience interpreting predictive models and translating outputs into operational strategies.
• Familiarity with large data environments and tools such as Databricks or Power BI.
