Location: Remote within the United States. Clinical roles are not hired in Alaska, Hawaii, or Rhode Island; corporate roles are not hired in Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, or Wisconsin. Office hubs are located in Denver and San Francisco.
Salary: $172,000–$222,000 per year, based on location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do
- Lead real-world evidence programs and health economics models demonstrating Virta’s clinical and economic value.
- Analyze claims and clinical datasets from health plans, employers, and external data warehouses.
- Translate real-world data into operational, health-economic, commercial, and product insights.
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences, client meetings, and internal forums.
- Partner with data science, sales, marketing, and product teams to apply evidence to commercial messaging, care delivery, and product development.
- Teach HEOR methodologies internally and establish repeatable AI-enabled workflows for research and reporting.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacoeconomics, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience analyzing claims or clinical datasets, publishing peer-reviewed research, and presenting clinical program outcomes.
- At least 3 years of business experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS for advanced claims analysis and data modeling.
- Experience designing and implementing repeatable AI-enabled workflows that improve team efficiency.
- Must be eligible to work remotely from an eligible United States state.
