Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform (AI)

What you will do

• Lead program execution and technical direction across domain teams, collaborating with approximately 20 engineers, two Engineering Managers, and a Data Architect.
• Design and build a scalable LLM gateway with model routing, prompt management, cost attribution, rate limiting, and caching.
• Develop and operate RAG pipelines, embedding services, vector search infrastructure, and agentic runtime systems.
• Build MCP servers, tool ecosystems, multi-agent coordination patterns, and developer SDKs in Python, .NET, and TypeScript.
• Establish AI observability, governance, security controls, incident detection, and response for production systems.
• Create evaluation pipelines, paved-road patterns, and onboarding support for product teams adopting AI capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python as the primary language.
• 2+ years of production experience building LLM-powered systems, AI infrastructure, RAG architectures, or agentic solutions.
• Strong Python expertise and working proficiency in C#/.NET.
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, or LangChain.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry or Azure OpenAI, internal platforms or SDKs, and AI observability covering token usage, latency, cost, and distributed tracing.
• Preferred experience includes TypeScript, AI evaluation frameworks, AI governance, Azure Container Apps, Terraform, and NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001.
