Senior Software Engineer, Security Engineering - Platform (Auth0)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid role

Salary: CAD 136,000–187,000 annual base salary, plus potential equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and operate platform security services and controls using Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Develop custom security automation tooling and contribute to broader security automation initiatives.
• Secure Kubernetes and containerized workloads through runtime security, network policies, and admission controllers.
• Design, document, test, and review production-grade code and technical solutions.
• Partner with engineering teams to plan vulnerability remediation and develop patches for security issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade software services.
• Expertise in Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Architectural and engineering experience with GitHub and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Expertise in Software Composition Analysis and remediation of third-party and open-source dependency vulnerabilities at scale.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, platform security controls, service permissions, and secure coding practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput streaming or log-processing tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or Vector.
• Experience with Terraform and Policy-as-Code tools.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC2, and security frameworks in multi-cloud environments.
• Experience or interest in applying AI/ML tools to security automation and analysis.
